10 best laptop for adobe creative cloud | Your Laptop Guide

Adobe Creative Cloud is a set of more than 20 applications, provided by Adobe to their subscribers. The most popular of these software are Photoshop, Premier Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and many more to meet any of your creative demands. Be it image editing, video editing, animating, or putting visual effects in them, you can find it in the Adobe Creative Cloud. It also provides access to several GBs of cloud space to store your data securely online, so you don’t lose your precious work in an unfortunate case of hardware failure.

Recommendations for Creative Cloud

The Adobe Creative cloud tends to use more resources than typical office work applications, such as Microsoft Word or Excel. The creative cloud requires more computation power in the form of a fast processor, enough RAM, and a decent video card with sufficient VRAM – such a video card is often known as a discrete GPU. The low-cost laptops and some notebooks are often not up to the task and it is recommended that you go for higher-end laptops, such as a MacBook Pro or a gaming laptop.

Requirements for Creative Cloud

The hardware requirements vary depending on the individual app that you will use. However, we have listed a few recommended requirements that will cover most of your requirements.

  • Processor
Should be able to put fast clock-able frequencies. Any new Intel or Ryzen CPUs will do the job. Make sure they can reach above 3.00GHz.
  • Graphics Card
Discrete GPU is recommended with minimum VRAM more than 2GBs.
  • RAM
Minimum RAM should be 8GB but 16GB is recommended.
  • Touch display or pen input to assist especially during photo editing.

Razer is a company known for providing, absolutely killer, gaming machines. The Razer Blade 15 is, however, a slightly different story. Don’t get me wrong… It will provide excellent gaming experience, especially considering the extraordinary GPU, but the incredibly expensive price will force you to use this machine for professional purposes.

I am talking about video editing, animating, or any type of graphic designing you can accomplish using a pool of applications in Adobe Creative Cloud.

The machine is designed for creative professionals, and with Razer Blade 15, you can be sure to receive a performance that is unmatched by a very wide majority. The Acer Predator Helios is one of the best laptops available in the market today. Part of the reason for that is, it contains the top-notch components from previous generation releases. They have been replaced by newer ones leading to them dropping their price points. However, this does not mean that they are low-end components, but they can pull off just equal numbers with a few hiccups.

There are plenty of things right with this laptop and, I seriously doubt if, there is anything wrong that might be worth considering. Let’s start with the innovative ScreenPad introduced by Asus. It is placed inside the trackpad that DOUBLES as a secondary display. How cool is that? You can run any software from Adobe Creative Cloud on it. The qualities of display do not end there. The display panel features a matte coating to reduce glares and offer great viewing angles. And if 15.6 inches screen wasn’t enough, the ZenBook has very slim bezels resulting in a whopping 92% of screen to body ratio.

Moreover, the ZenBook comes with a discrete GPU that will not only run Premier Pro and After Effects – most demanding apps of creative cloud – but also run newer games with decent frame rates. The only issue arises when you put the laptop in battery-savor mode resulting in the clock speeds getting as low as 1.3GHz. Asus, however, has also turned that into a plus point by extending battery life to 12 hours. Finally, the price it comes in is absolutely a bargain. This model of HP Pavilion laptop comes with an attractive metal finish. It packs decent CPU clock speeds of up to 3.90GHz that will be sufficient for your office productivity and home tasks. Even though it doesn’t consist of a discrete GPU, the integrated graphics would be adequate enough for lighter apps of Adobe Creative Cloud such as Photoshop. But it is also a plus point that not having a discrete GPU lowers the cost of laptop to cheap and affordable value.

Even though it is a budget laptop, it comes with few flaws that could have been avoided even in this price range. The screen brightness, for example, gets a bit dim at about 220 nits – the comfortable value is 250 nits. The laptop also doesn’t consist of Thunderbolt USB port that are becoming quiet common in newer laptops. You can find cheaper laptops with same core components and better performance in the price range. But the major plus point is the Handbrake test, where LG Gram took only 8 minutes – fastest in the category. However, the unavailability of discrete graphics card makes it a poor choice for gaming.
